Product Business Development Manager (Remote)

The Product Business Development Manager is a remote position (must live in the US) covering the North America region.

The Product Business Development Manager is responsible for Diving & Closed Circuit Breathing Protection Solutions; duties include strategic positioning, pricing excellence, lifecycle management, and product launch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for growth of this key portfolio of safety products through the identification, evaluation, development of key client relationships and business opportunities for order generation focused specifically on the Government Market.
• Collaborate with Marketing leadership to establish methodology to monitor customer needs, market trends and product lifecycle feedback to differentiate us from the competition and grow market share.
• Integrate with the global organization to leverage strong relationships and build solid support and involvement for the region.
• Serve as product expert and champion – performing gap analysis of product portfolio: including in-depth portfolio analysis and Application profiles and opportunities.
• Align with sales and marketing teams to build business cases and forecast market evolution along with future product trends.
• Develop sales tools such as Total Cost of Ownership Analysis and Competitive Comparison Tools.
• Complete ownership of the assigned product portfolio.
• Actively support sales and service to drive regional net sales and profit of the assigned product portfolio within the region.
• Develop and implement regional (North America) product sales and marketing strategy for assigned portfolio of safety products across multiple applications in accordance with global and regional strategy.
• Provide input for the global product portfolio and safety application strategy.
• Operational marketing, pre-sales, sales and post-sales service support for assigned key application fields.

• BS/BA Degree in a business or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of Product/Marketing Management and/or military experience (preference for both)
• Strong planning, project management and execution skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Strong business and analytical acumen
• Comprehensive knowledge in the conception and implementation of product launches in a B2B environment
• Must be able to travel up to 40% (by air and car)
• Must be able to lift equipment which can weigh up to 25 pounds

The compensation includes a base salary range of $100,000 – $123,000 with an annual performance bonus (percentage of base).

Draeger has several sites located across North America as well as field-based sales and service positions. Our North America headquarters is located in Telford, PA just north of Philadelphia. We also have US sites in Andover, MA, and Houston, TX. Our Canada site is located in Mississauga, Ontario.

Our field based Sales and Service workforce is located across the nation, caring for relationships with our customers in the delivery of Draeger’s exceptional portfolio of products and solutions.
