Job DescriptionJob DescriptionFast-growing successful Canadian BioResearch company, would like to hire a new Greater Toronto Area based Product Launch Director, MS or PhD. You would be taking charge of sales of equipment and related products to academic and biotech laboratories located in the GTA, and managing a small team. This would primarily include overseeing the development, launching, and commercialization of new tools, reagents, and/or software.Position reports to the CEO. Hybrid role with some travel.As a business development leader, you will play a pivotal role in developing, executing, and scaling their plans for ongoing commercialization,Your sense of curiosity and desire for helping the company grow will contribute to your success.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Trailblazer for the launch of new products.
  • Generating new business and expanding the company’s customer base.
  • Management of the ongoing development and scaling of company product reach and potential.
  • Team management.
  • Maintaining multiple growing levels of strategic client contacts.
  • Attending and representing company at meetings and shows.

QualificationsREQUIREMENTS:

  • MS or PhD (preferred) plus MBA (asset).
  • 4-5 years of recent hands-on successful business development /direct sales experience, specifically in the niche academic and biotech sectors.
  • Able to increase your list of key personal contacts / decision makers (KOLs) in the territory.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with desire to run your own business
  • Strong leadership skills and highly motivated to succeed and work autonomously.
  • Proactive, able to be strategic, take initiative, prioritize, and execute.
  • Need to understand customer needs and be able to summon up information and resources to satisfy these requirements.
  • Any CRM, Salesforce.com or other software acumen an asset.
  • Preferably presently living in the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Very strong English communication skills.
  • MUST be selling to academic and biotech labs in the GTA.
