Job mission 

We are offering an opportunity for candidates with expertise in the clinical lab world who are interested to deep dive into our extensive portfolio of diagnostic core lab tests and analyzers, while further developing their commercial and marketing skills.

As a Product Manager, you will be the marketing expert for our portfolio of core lab diagnostic analyzers, clinical chemistry tests, quality control and related digital solutions. Your key contribution will be to translate product knowledge into a commercial positioning, showcasing the added value we create for labs, hospitals and patients. Significant collaboration with the sales team on commercial opportunities and interaction with customers will be your source of knowledge and inspiration. You will be the go-to person for our sales, consultancy and customer support colleagues when they need specific product information.

Your function as a Product Manager is varied and exciting. Your main activities will involve (non-exhaustive):

  • You proactively adapt the value proposition for your portfolios based on the changing market / customer needs and the evolution of our full core lab offering, in order to increase our impact during the sales process
  • You extensively support our sales team during the lifecycle of their commercial opportunities. This includes: providing product training and commercial tools, extensive direct interaction with our customers using a consultative selling mindset, and valorising our solutions during pre-tender and tender activities
  • You ensure en excellent portfolio management, which includes operational follow-up, product updates and launches, logistical forecasting, management of potential issues and customer communications
  • You build a solid network of external stakeholders (KOLs) and internal stakeholders (local sales, consultancy, marketing, customer support, finance teams, and you are the linking role towards or global organisation and product managers in the other affiliates)
  • You contribute to the marketing and business plan, monitor the business performance of your portfolio and build business cases for new solutions with the support of the team.

Your profile

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical, scientific or medical subject. Relevant experience could replace the need for a specific degree
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer-facing/commercial role (e.g. marketing, sales, consultancy, customer support)
  • You are fluent in French or Dutch (+ willing to become fluent in both languages) and fluent in English
  • You like to work in dynamic and self-empowered teams where you proactively take initiative and collaborate with colleagues to drive new opportunities
  • You are customer and patient-centric, authentic, collaborative, passionate, curious and caring to realise the best outcome
