Job Description

Join our team as a Production Assembler, where you will play a vital role in assembling electrical and mechanical parts into finished products. You will work with a variety of tools and assembly process equipment, ensuring quality and precision in every product.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and understand assembly prints, bill of materials, ECOs, and assembly processes.
• Assemble electrical/mechanical parts into finished products using different types of tools and assembly process equipment.
• Use screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and hand soldering techniques as required by the department.
• Utilize a variety of adhesives and chemicals during the assembly process.
• Operate computer workstations for record-keeping and testing purposes.
• Perform electronic testing on final assemblies using various test equipment.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure product standards are met.
• Adapt to a variety of manufacturing processes and technologies.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools, soldering, small screwdrivers, and torque wrenches.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
• experience with PCB or small part assembly.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds consistently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma preferred.
• Certification in JSTD is highly preferred.

Work Environment

Work hours are from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. You will be provided with smocks and safety glasses, though safety toe shoes are required but not provided. The production area is large, supporting various lines for gas and flame detection sensors. Be prepared for potential strong epoxy smells in certain areas. We emphasize cross-training, allowing you to learn and work in departments that suit your skills and interests.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $22.00/hr.
