We are seeking a Production Engineer to join our partnered client’s gas detector manufacturing company in Norwood, MA.
Schedule: Mon – Fri (7am – 4pm)
Pay rate: based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development:
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) to create 3D models and technical drawings of instruments and components.
- Develop and optimize designs to meet performance, weight, and cost requirements.
- Conduct simulations and analyses to ensure design feasibility.
- Testing and Validation:
- Support the testing and validation of prototypes and final products.
- Analyze test results and identify areas for improvement.
- Documentation and Communication:
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including specifications and engineering reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and sales, to ensure seamless product development and launch.
- Problem-Solving:
- Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during the design, development, or testing process.
- Identify and implement solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of Bascom-Turner Instruments’ products.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all designs and products meet the required quality standards.
- Work with the quality team to implement and maintain quality control processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and design practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in the instrumentation industry.
- Knowledge of specific instrumentation technologies.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
