As a Production and Inventory Control Planner, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating production plans, inventory management, and schedules, ensuring alignment with customer demand and optimal production efficiency. This position requires collaboration with sales, project management, operations, and procurement teams to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and achieve a balance between cost, service, and asset management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement production plans and schedules in coordination with project management.

  • Collaborate seamlessly with sales, project management, operations, and procurement teams to align production plans with demand forecasts and project timelines.

  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels through the analysis of sales trends, production capacity, and lead times.

  • Initiation of item numbers and bills of materials in the inventory management system.

  • Utilize proficiency in Microsoft and Smartsheet to enhance inventory control methods, demand forecasting, and optimization techniques.

  • Create and manage production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery and efficient resource utilization.

  • Collaborate with project management to align schedules with project milestones and deadlines.

  • Work closely with procurement, logistics, and suppliers to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and finished goods.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover.

  • Generate reports utilizing Microsoft and Smartsheet tools, providing insights to management on production and inventory performance.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization in production planning and inventory control.

  • Utilize experience/certifications related to supply chain, planning, and inventory management to implement best practices and ensure compliance.

Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent qualification.

  • 3+ years of work experience in supply chain.

  • Strong knowledge of production planning principles, capacity management, and scheduling techniques.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Smartsheet for data analysis and reporting.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of production planning principles, capacity management, and scheduling techniques.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Smartsheet for data analysis and reporting.

  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or Demand Driven Planner (DDP).

  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.

  • Ability to pioneer and refine new processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 – $22.00/hr.
