Utz Quality Foods is seeking a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our Week DayShift operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives on the production floor, values teamwork, and is passionate about driving results through people development, safety, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the week day shift production team, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage daily production schedules and monitor performance using tools like RedZone and ERP systems.
• Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), SQF food safety standards, and OSHA regulations.
• Oversee interviewing, training, and performance management of team members.
• Collaborate with logistics, QA, maintenance, and HR to ensure smooth operations and meet business goals.
• Maintain accurate data in EAM, ADP, and other systems for maintenance and HR tasks.
• Track and report KPIs including output, quality, labor efficiency, and downtime.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and inclusion through active coaching and mentoring.
• Be a visible leader on the production floor, providing support, feedback, and resolving issues with patience and empathy.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience leading diverse teams in a production or manufacturing setting.

• Comfortable leading by example and staying hands-on on the production floor.

• Strong emotional intelligence, patience, and ability to manage in high-pressure situations.

• Dedicated to developing talent, recognizing achievements, and supporting career growth.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues effectively.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and decision-making abilities.

• Familiarity with food safety standards (GMPs, HACCP, SQF) preferred.

• High school diploma required; additional education a plus.

• Bilingual in English/Spanish or French is highly desirable.
