JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Department of Mechanical Engineering
(ME) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking applicants at the
ranks of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor to
develop a vibrant experimental or computational research program in
high-speed, compressible, single- or multi-phase fluid dynamics with
applications in aerospace, energy, or related fields. The ideal
candidate will be interested in collaborative research and be an
integral contributor to the Engineering Mechanics/Aerospace (EMA)
undergraduate and graduate programs, which are housed in the ME
Department. In view of the expanding aerospace engineering industry and
employment opportunities, the ME Department seeks to strengthen and grow
its Aerospace Engineering teaching and research profile. Successful
candidates will have demonstrated an ability and commitment to
effectively mentor at-risk, first-generation, or underrepresented
students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The UW-Madison

Responsibilities: Teaching and developing inclusive undergraduate and
graduate courses for a diverse student body in the ME and EMA degree
programs, mentoring graduate students and supervising their research;
developing and directing a successful, extramurally funded research
program; participating in departmental and university faculty
governance; and contributing to professional and public service.
