Job Description
What you’ll do at DBH:
- Supervise Health Information and Reimbursement Departments and Staff
- Manage collection, coding and reporting of billable services, as well as non-billable services
(through electronic health record)
- Ensure hospital reimbursement process is timely and accurate
- Oversee Release of Information and HIPAA compliance activities
- Ensure and monitor compliance with NOBH/OMHAS policies and Joint Commission/CMS standards related
to health information management
- Compile and report information on Health Information/Reimbursement Department performance
to Performance Improvement Director, noting any concerns and making recommendations for improvement
- Aid in performance improvement projects/requests related to health information management
- Participate in medical records chart audits
- Staff education, orientation and annual, regarding health information
This is an hourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units, with a pay range of #12 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. This position is located within our Northwest Behavioral Healthcare CampusNorthwest Behavioral Healthcare Campus at 930 South Detroit Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43614930 South Detroit Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43614.
Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Qualifications
Position Qualifications:
4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.
- Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above

- Registered Health Information Technician or Register Health Information Administrator
- Certified Coding Specialist
- Experience with CPT, Joint Commission, CMS, and Insurance Payer guidelines
