What we want
The Program Aide instructs, monitors and directs campers ages 6-18 in the marine sciences fields. Ensures compliance with all safety rules and regulations. Responsible for teaching students in a variety of settings including canters, whole group instruction and field activities. May be required to drive a University vehicle for various purposes. Performs other duties as assigned.
What you need to know
Starting salary: $25 an hour
Position Details: May be required to drive a golf cart or other University vehicle as a part of duty assignment. In addition, this position requires working in both indoor and outdoor environments with groups of children.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience leading, directing or advising children 6-18 years old
Knowledge of natural history, biology, ecology, and related fields
Required Licenses and Certifications:
First Aid CPR
Driver’s License Required
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree
Previous Sea Camp experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Desire and ability to work with children outdoors in varied conditions
Ability to communicate and work with groups participating (age and skill levels) and provide necessary instruction to campers
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Essential Duties/Tasks:
SUMMER SEA CAMP INSTRUCTION/GUIDE
Guides the Summer Camp Outreach Programs to people of all ages.
1) Sea Camp — a week-long residential adventure exploring the wonders of the marine and estuarine environments for campers ages 10-18;
2) Sea Campus Kids — a marine oriented day program for campers ages 6-11
SAFETY AND OTHER
Ensures compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
Responsible for teaching students in a variety of settings including canters, whole group instruction and field activities.
May be required to drive a University vehicle for various purposes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
