About Amal Healing & Advocacy Center
Amal Healing & Advocacy Center (AHAC) is a women-led organization that specialized in empowering women, who have experienced psychological symptoms resulting from social and sexual violence within their family or community.
AHAC seeks to contribute to creating a change in the status of women in Syrian society and to support them in becoming more aware of their rights and opportunities.
The motivation to start the organization was led by the desire to contribute to building a Syrian society based on fair and equal human rights in an independent civil state.
The organization was founded in 2014 in Antakya, Turkey, which is located near the Syrian-Turkish border and strives to respond to the needs of Syrian refugee women, survivors of violence in particular.

Job Details:
AHAC team is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Assistant, under the supervision of the CEO in Gaziantep, to provide support in the coordination, preparation, and implementation of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing, organizing, and maintaining comprehensive documentation for grant applications and reports.
- Overseeing and maintaining online resources to support program activities.
- Managing the Program Manager’s calendar, scheduling appointments, and sending reminders for upcoming engagements.
- Maintaining office-wide calendars and ensuring timely communication of impending appointments.
- Acting as a communication link between different departments to facilitate smooth operations.
- Carrying out tasks as required to facilitate an efficient working environment.
- Participating in preparing monthly/quarterly/annual highlights/reports.
- Providing necessary reports on work progress to the management team as needed.
- Working with project teams, partner organizations, and stakeholders to ensure effective and timely service delivery.
- Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of the project performance, providing regular reports and updates to management and donors.
- Represent the activities for program-related matters.
- Represent AHAC at meetings and other relevant technical coordination meetings.
Required Skills/Qualifications:

Female with Turkish citizenship
-
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, Humanitarian Studies, or a related field.

Familiarity with the principles of humanitarian action plus proven experience in GBV, protection and advocacy projects in the Syrian context.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, preferably in protection projects and women rights or refugee protection projects.

Excellent skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Google Workspace.

Excellent English written communications skills including the ability to prepare reports, Turkish is a plus.

Strong understanding of issues facing refugee women, including trauma, violence, and displacement.

Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and sensitive environment.
