The Nuclear Engineering Program Manager provides strategic, administrative, and operational leadership for the Nuclear Engineering Program within the Alan Levin Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering at Kansas State University. This position leads the organization of ABET data, external stakeholder engagement, and the development and tracking of program-level metrics and workforce outcomes. The role requires independent judgment, coordination across multiple university units, and external representation of the program. This position is responsible for coordinating program activities and representing the program to students, industry, and stakeholders. The Program Manager plays a key role in enhancing program visibility, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, and advancing program growth and excellence.

The MNE department has 24 faculty members, annual research expenditures of approximately $6M, and an enrollment of approximately 850 undergraduate and graduate students. Ice College of Engineering is located on the main Kansas State University campus in Manhattan, Kansas, a vibrant, family-friendly city located in the scenic Flint Hills. Worksite Description
This position is Hybrid eligible. It is expected that this position will require at least 20 hours per week on-site. Hybrid arrangements may be negotiated depending on specific circumstances. All remote work must be performed in the United States. On-site participation will be generally required to support events and meetings. The employee’s specific circumstances will be considered when scheduling these events and meetings to facilitate on-site presence. Other than IT equipment, the employee must procure all necessary equipment, materials, supplies, and services required to perform duties off-site.
All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.
