Job Description:

• The Program Support Technician provides frontline administrative and customer service support for the Environmental Health Program across the Crater Health District. This role serves as the initial point of contact for the public, offering guidance on forms and processes, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel, and maintaining organized office operations.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers, offering general information and directing them appropriately
• Enter and review data in automated databases, checking for accuracy or discrepancies
• Generate ad-hoc reports as needed for program support
• Maintain organized office systems, files, and records
• Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Proficient in report writing, data entry, and clear communication tailored to different audiences
• Solid understanding of office practices, customer service, and the use of relevant policies and procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database software
• Ability to operate general office equipment (e.g., copier, fax machine, calculator)
• experience with maintaining paper and electronic files/manuals
• Strong sense of confidentiality and professionalism
• Ability to interpret and apply established procedures and policies
• Must hold a valid State Driver’s License for occasional travel

Additional Requirements:

• Employment contingent upon successful completion of:
• State and federal criminal background checks.
• Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry check.
• HHS IG Exclusion List screening.
• Employment reference check and education/licensure verification.
• E-Verify authorization.
• Conviction history will be reviewed via fingerprint-based background check as a final step.
