With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:Arcadis is looking for an Architect – Healthcare Projects to join our team.You will work in a highly qualified team of healthcare architects, medical planners and interior designers working on various healthcare projects in AB, BC, as well as across Canada and the USA. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning and development of healthcare facilities along with engaging clients and teams delivering creative solutions. This position provides the professional an opportunity to work with collaborative teams throughout various project stages delivering innovative healthcare solutions for our clients. Candidates should be experienced in all phases of healthcare planning and design and looking to accept a leadership role.Role accountabilities:

• Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the healthcare sector to expand the firm’s client base
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Meeting with clients and representing the firm at various working groups and leading presentations
• Lead the design and delivery of complex healthcare projects, ensuring alignment with client needs, regulatory requirements, and best practices in healthcare design
• Oversee project teams, providing mentorship and guidance, as required based on type and size of project
• Lead multiple project teams consisting of architects, job captains and intern architects, as required based on the type and size of project
• Review drawings and specifications for quality control and mentoring staff in applicable building codes and construction details
• Work individually or part of a larger team, depending on the size of the project, to complete feasibility studies, development permit applications, building permit applications and contract documents for tender
• Lead the preparation of proposals, presentations, and qualifications packages for new projects, collaborating with the marketing team

Qualifications & Experience:

• 15+ years of experience in the field of healthcare architecture
• Licensed Architect
• Experience managing and mentoring a team or Architects, technologists and designers
• Experience in client engagement
• Excellent communication skills are a requirement

The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position.
