The Program extends the BART system 16 miles from City of Fremont in Alameda Country through the cities of Milpitas, San Jose and Santa Clara in Santa Clara County.
Phase II (BSVII) of the project is an approximately six mile, four-station extension, linking the Phase I terminus at the Berryessa/North San Jose BART station to the Santa Clara Station in the City of Santa Clara. BSVII is planned to include a single-bore tunnel, three underground stations, one at-grade station and a maintenance facility.
