The Project Manager (PM) will report directly to the Sr. Portfolio Manager, Clinical Projects, and via a dotted line to 9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline project sponsors for project deliverables. The Project Manager will primarily work on IT-related tasks for the 9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline, and other projects as assigned.9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline is the three-digit number for people in Canada who are thinking about suicide, in emotional distress, or worried about someone else. The service went live November 2023, and is available by phone and text, 24/7 and free of charge across the country. The service allows people to get help when they need it most, connecting in a timely way to trained crisis responders. The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) named the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) as the lead organization to coordinate the implementation and delivery of 9-8-8 in Canada.The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the continued growth and technical evolution of the 988 Suicide Crisis Helpline. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the implementation of critical technology enhancements and ensure smooth operations across multiple projects. You’ll play a vital role in improving service delivery, integrating cutting-edge systems, and optimizing processes for one of the nation’s most important mental health resources.The incumbent will be responsible for hands-on leadership as well as execution of work in order to achieve goals and objectives relating to the assigned project(s). This may involve direct and/or indirect supervision of staff delivering on project tasks (task assignment, coaching, mentoring, performance management) and budget management to ensure projects are within scope, on budget and on schedule.The Project Manager will be responsible for working with multiple clinical, administrative, and executive stakeholders both internal and external to CAMH. The Project Manager will develop work plans, accountabilities, timelines, requirements, communication plans, change management plans, training plans, etc. for the assigned project(s) with key stakeholders and ensure these deliverables are developed and executed in a manner which supports agreed upon timelines and objectives. The Project Manager will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on all aspects of the project(s) in accordance with EPMO processes.
