Job Description:The Opportunity:This is your chance to join the iconic Centre Block Rehabilitation project as an intermediate Project Manager! The Centre Block Rehabilitation Project is a long-term renovation, rehabilitation and rejuvenation project of national interest within the Parliamentary Precinct. WSP (in joint venture) is providing a range of multidisciplinary consultancy services, including design management, engineering design and contract administration. WSP’s scope extends well beyond a rehabilitation of Centre Block (CB) and the Peace Tower (PT) to include a large multi-level, below grade Visitor Welcome Centre (VWC) located immediately to the south of CB.Why choose WSP?

  • Plan, execute and control the sub-project through all phases from initiation, design/definition, detailed design, to issue of construction documents;
  • Develop proactive measures with the design team to ensure designs are delivered within cost and schedule constraints;
  • Coordinate and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team (internal staff, external consultants, contractors and suppliers) to achieve the Client’s objectives consistent with the scope of services to be provided;
  • Be responsible and accountable for ensuring that the required functions of the project are satisfactorily performed.

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • Engineering or Architectural degree from a recognized University;
  • PMI certification or equivalent would be an asset;
  • Seven years or more of demonstrated experience with project management responsibilities;
  • Previous experience with buildings and engineering projects is required;
  • Previous demonstrated experience in successfully managing a team of professionals;
  • Familiarity with all commonly used project delivery models;
  • A sound understanding of scheduling techniques, budget development, and risk management is needed;
  • Leadership, negotiation, communication and strong customer relationship skills are essential;
  • Must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance
