The project manager for performance excellence will support a portfolio of process improvement, program development, and patient and family centered care initiatives for Children’s hospital. The project manager will also manage organization and operational enhancement initiatives. This position will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and lead cross-functional projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
education, CERTIFICATION, experience, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business, Industrial Engineering, or healthcare-related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Master’s degree in business, Industrial Engineering, or healthcare-related field.
2. Certified in a Project Management Program such as Lean/Six Sigma. CPHQ Certification.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. They are not intended to be constructed as an all-inclusive list of all responsibilities and duties. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Manage multiple projects throughout their life cycle.
2. Round and conduct observations as needed for continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Lead and/or participate in core meetings.
4. Coordinate and conduct data analyses from Vizient, Press Ganey, Tableau, EMR, and other data sources.
5. Provides technical support to performance improvement teams on the use of lean tools, coaching, and data analysis.
6. Serve as a resource for education and training regarding internal process improvement and family/patient experience.
7. Develops project approaches and prepares detailed work plans for completion of projects utilizing project charters.
8. Utilizes lean or other methodologies to analyze organizational systems and processes, to make recommendations for operational improvements, and to coordinate the implementation of changes.
9. Coordinates and supervises the work of process improvement teams.
10. Prepares and gives presentations to various levels of staff, management, senior leadership, etc at the organization.
