Robert Half is partnering with a non-profit organization in Edmonton to fill a 14-month term position for an IT Project Manager. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage critical IT system implementations, including HIRS (Human Resources Information Systems), phone system upgrade, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) implementation.Position Details

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management Leadership: Serve as the primary leader for IT projects, managing all phases, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure.
• System Implementations: Oversee the successful deployment of HIRS platforms, EMR systems, and phone system upgrades, ensuring they meet organizational needs.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and end-users to identify requirements and ensure project goals align with business objectives.
• Risk and Issue Management: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation plans, and handle project challenges proactively to ensure timely delivery of quality results.
• Budget and Resource Oversight: Manage project budgets and allocate resources effectively to achieve project deliverables while optimizing costs.
• Performance Reporting: Provide regular project updates to leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication of progress, issues, and risks.

Requirements:Required Qualifications1. Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing IT projects, including successful end-to-end system implementations.
• Proven track record of managing projects with cross-departmental collaboration, technical integration, and vendor coordination.
• Experience with change management frameworks to ensure smooth adoption of systems across organizations.

3. Certifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is strongly preferred.

4. Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong competency with project management methodologies.
• Strong understanding of IT systems
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills to manage hybrid teams and foster collaboration.
• Ability to work on-site as needed, balancing both a remote and in-person presence to ensure smooth project operations.
