Job Description

We are recruiting into our Building Consultancy team based in London for a Project Monitor. We work with major institutional investors, funders, lenders and REITs.

We are looking for an outward-looking, ‘all-rounder’ Project Monitor preferably with a track record, a strong technical background and an ambition to deliver excellence.

What This Job Involves

  • Project, Fund and Bank Monitoring of new build and mixed use assets
  • Completion of initial due diligence and reports
  • Ongoing financial, technical and compliance monitoring during construction
  • Potential for Employer’s Agent, Client Representative
  • Potential for preparing specifications for, and administering repair and refurbishment contracts
  • Assisting with co-ordination of portfolio instructions and undertaking other duties from time to time as may be reasonably required
  • Making sustainable business links with both external and internal clients and offering a professional and excellent client service at all times
  • Working with internal multi-disciplinary teams on shared instructions
  • Undertaking business development with new and existing clients
  • Some travel will be required in this role

  • Required to have the ability to work within a team and on own initiative
  • Must be enthusiastic, proactive and self-motivated
  • Must have strong verbal and numerical skills, and be comfortable with report writing
  • Requires excellent time management and general organisational skills
  • Is required to be flexible and have the ability to work under pressure
  • MRICS (building surveying) with proven experience, preferably PQE in a commercial consultancy
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Clean driving licence
  • Must be well presented and have excellent communication skills
