This is a CONTRACT position.

Your employment will be held by a third-party company of ENGIE’s choosing. Any offered contract role will not constitute an offer for nor guarantee of future employment with ENGIE.

What You Can Expect

As the Project Scheduler, based in Houston, TX you will work within the Networks GBU Team as the primary scheduling expert/resource for Project Managers. In addition, the Schedule Specialist will set standards and define the processes to use to monitor, update, and analyze project schedules. The Schedule Specialist will collaborate with all project teams and the project controls staff within the Business Unit, and liaise with personnel at the Group Business Unit level as necessary.

  • Develop and maintain detailed Integrated Master project schedules (IMS) using Primavera P6 scheduling software
  • Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect approved changes in scope, timelines, and resources.
  • Coordinate with project managers, team members, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for schedule updates.
  • Identify potential scheduling conflicts, trends, and provide recommendations for resolution through variance reports and What-if scenarios.
  • Prepare and present schedule reports and updates to project stakeholders and senior management.
  • Conduct schedule risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company Project Controls policies and procedures related to project planning and scheduling, earned value, Rules of credit, among others.
  • Assist in the development of project control plans, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Support the Director of Project Controls in various scheduling and project control activities.
  • Developing and managing schedule performance indicators.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling in the energy, construction, or engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Procore and the MS Office suite of software.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplined team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP).
  • Certification in project scheduling (e.g., PMI-SP, PSP).
  • Experience with schedule risk analysis and mitigation.

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 25% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • An ability to exhibit flexibility which may require late night and/or weekend attention to projects, and/or short notice travel to address project issues
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
