Project Support ManagerGrade: UKRI Pay Band ESalary: £43,116 per annumContract Type: PermanentHours: Full-time – 37 hours a week (some flexible working options may be available, including a small amount of remote working, in line with BGS policy)Location: BGS headquarters in Keyworth in NottinghamClosing date: 3 November 2024About the roleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join the BGS Finance and Project Support function as the Project Support Manager.This role has responsibility for the effective leadership, management and operation of the Project Support Team (eight staff based in Keyworth and Edinburgh) as well as the corporate Resource Management System (RMS). This is a very important time for the Finance and Project Support teams as work is being scoped for a replacement to RMS and we will also be implementing the SHARP Programme (and Oracle Fusion system) in 2025. About youWe are looking for candidates with good experience of managing staff along with the ability to improve / develop new processes and policies.You will hold a project management qualification or be working towards one with significant experience in project support or project manager roles.Also important is experience of working at a high level with a resource management system.You will be expected to travel to other BGS and UKRI sites and this will include occasional overnight stays.The additional specific essential and desirable skills criteria for this post will be assessed at Shortlist (S) stage, interview (I) stage, or both (S&I).Essential
