Shift: 07:00AM to 300PM (Mon to Fri)
Hours/Week: 40 Hours/Week
Job Duties:

• Manage a full-time caseload of ~40 patients across 2 wards with monthly and as-needed visits.
• Treat diagnoses such as schizophrenia, mood disorders, personality disorders, substance abuse, and paraphilias.
• Oversee court-ordered conditional releases for NGRI and SVP patients.
• Complete thorough patient documentation including summaries, admission/discharge notes, and reviews.
• Provide diagnosis, medication management, therapy, referrals, and consultations.
• Participate in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Serve as Psychiatric Officer of the Day 2-4 times per week (7 AM – 5 PM shifts).
• Work 40 hours/week with no mandatory weekends, holidays, or on-call unless voluntarily chosen.
• On-call coverage available with additional pay; physician onsite 24/7.
• Admit and discharge patients in a long-term care setting.
• Attend medical staff meetings and other consultations as needed.
• Perform additional duties as credentialed, including supervision, treatment planning, psychotherapy, evaluations, and court testimony.

License and Certification:

• Full, unrestricted Missouri medical license is required.
• Forensic psychiatry training or experience is preferred.
