Location: London
Salary: £40,000 – £52,500
The Opportunity:
- Excellent opportunity to join a prominent membership body as their Public Affairs and PR Manager
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the creation and implementation of an impactful public affairs strategy in conjunction with the Chief Executive, Deputy CEO & Director of External Relations and the Head of Policy & Research
- Devise and implement relevant public affairs campaigns as well as developing and implementing proactive and reactive public affairs executions in support of organisational objectives
- Help secure policy and regulatory changes that are in members’ interests – especially in relation to higher education policy.
- Raise the profile of the organisation through relevant external engagement and lobbying activity.
- Identify opportunities to respond to higher education or business-related policy, consultations, calls for evidence inquires and similar from government departments, Select Committees, regulators and other bodies.
- Maximise the impact of these consultation responses, secure policy change on behalf of the body
- Utilise our research and reports to engage politicians, stakeholders, policymakers and funding bodies
Key skills and experience:
- Previous Public Policy and Public Affairs experience
- Strong strategic approach to influencing
- Experience of working in a fast-paced organisation leading on complex, challenging issues
- Confident using CRM systems
- Previous experience in education policy , highly desirable
