Working Style: 3 days a week in office, 2 days anywhereWhy this job mattersThis is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the development, testing and delivery of applications that support our next generation Broadband CPE, including Broadband Smart Hubs, Complete Wi-Fi and Hybrid Connect (4G) modems.You will be working effectively as part of UK based agile squads, responsible for the testing of cutting edge client applications and embedded devices, working alongside highly skilled software and networking developers and testers, within the Broadband Devices tribe.The next generation converged products and services we develop are at the heart of our customers’ Broadband experience in their homes and businesses – your skills and values will help shape our products for millions of customers across the UK.What you’ll be doing

• Responsible for QA technical leadership within the Broadband devices tribe
• Lead the test strategy for our next generation converged products and services
• Deliver resolutions to problems that tend to be complex, cross-domain or of high impact to customers.
• Provide technical quality assurance over work of other engineers through matrix team structure
• Working effectively as part of UK based Agile delivery squads
• Using scrum/JIRA/Wiki for tracking agile workflow deliveries
• Supporting proactive improvement initiatives

What you’ll bring

• Strong experience in a complex technical lead role
• At least 10 years of professional software testing experience
• Strong experience in automated testing, specifically using Robot Framework
• Experience writing code using Python and Selenium
• Experience interacting with senior stakeholders across the business
• Industry-leading hands-on skills and knowledge in mobile app manual and automated testing, with recent experience in Perfecto
• Prior experience leading a quality assurance team with evidence of introducing automated test suites
• Knowledge of VMs, containerization, Linux, and Docker
• Proficiency with code revision, issue tracking, and continuous integration tools (e.g., git, JIRA, GitLab)
• Good knowledge of Agile delivery methods and tools (e.g., scrum, JIRA, wiki)
• Good knowledge of broadband/home gateway standards (e.g., xDSL, FTTP, IPv4/IPv6, PPP, Wi-Fi, UPnP, 4G/5G mobile networks)
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical material
• Ability to self-develop in required areas.
