QA Inspector

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a local industry leader in freight rail services in Danville, IL to add a QA Inspector to their team! This company operates one of the largest railcar service networks in the nation and offers the opportunity to grow with a stable, well-established organization.

The QA Inspector is responsible for performing inbound, in-process, and final inspections of freight and tank cars. This role ensures that all maintenance and repairs are completed safely and in compliance with regulatory, industry, and client standards.

Pay: $20 – $25

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections on railcars in accordance with FRA, AAR, and client specifications.
• Collaborate with supervisors to address any QA or compliance concerns.
• Make decisions on non-conforming products or repairs, subject to QA verification.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures.
• Complete QA M-1003 Program and Manual training within 90 days of employment.
• Support quality programs and training across multiple facilities as needed.
• Mentor new QA Inspectors and assist with in-house quality and specification training.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be Railcar Repair Technician III qualified.
• Knowledge of AAR repair procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints, maintenance instructions, and client specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening, and fitness for duty exam.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be comfortable working around moving mechanical parts and in confined spaces. Requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and use of power tools and equipment.
