Quality Assurance Director

STS Component Solutions is hiring a Quality Assurance Director to lead and oversee our global quality management programs from our Palm City, Florida headquarters. This leadership role is designed for a seasoned quality expert who understands the nuances of manufacturing, distribution, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within the aerospace and aviation industries.

This is a high-impact position focused on quality strategy, audit readiness, team training, and maintaining vital accreditations like AS9100, ASA-100, ISO 9001, and NADCAP. We’re looking for someone with strong leadership instincts, a proactive mindset, and deep operational know-how.

Key Responsibilities

• Own, maintain, and continuously improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS)
• Ensure STS Component Solutions’ products and services meet global quality standards
• Lead export compliance in line with ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and all applicable regulations
• Serve as (or support) the Empowered Official in export matters
• Promote quality excellence across all departments and business functions
• Build and deliver training programs to elevate staff awareness of quality procedures
• Manage internal audit systems and host external audits with poise and professionalism
• Supervise technical teams and ensure all testing and inspection standards are met
• Collaborate across teams including production, purchasing, engineering, and leadership
• Identify and address gaps in product specs, processes, and supplier performance
• Implement and oversee KPIs tied to quality metrics and organizational objectives
• Maintain product inspection programs and lead product release efforts
• Uphold documentation standards and ensure compliance with evolving regulations
• Prepare technical and statistical reports, dashboards, and audit responses

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years in a quality supervisory role
• 8+ years of relevant experience in quality within a product manufacturing environment
• Direct experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, ASA-100, and NADCAP
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Working knowledge of quality methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma (Black Belt or Green Belt preferred)
• Ability to travel as needed (light travel)
