Position Summary
Main job functions
Ensuring the timely action of documentation for completed hoses through the inspection process. Providing administrative support to ensure that customer requirements are addressed and met through the production of certification documentation. Be pro-active in supporting customer needs through their representatives on site. Maintaining the Quality Assurance documentation filing systems.
Principle Accountabilities
Duties, Responsibilities and Key Tasks
Upon completion of the testing processes, ensure that all documentation is available within the hose packages (e.g. route cards, hydrostatic test charts, inspection records, fitting Certificates of Conformity).
Ensure all relevant testing and post production activities have the appropriate Dunlop Oil & Marine documentation available (e.g. adhesion reports).
Produce the additional Dunlop Oil & Marine documentation to support each individual ordering line with the appropriate industry standard.
Prepare transmittals detailing precisely what QA documentation is being issued to the customer. This includes where appropriate test certificates, SHUSH documentation, PED Declaration of Conformity for example. Where requested to collate documentation to create Vendor Data Books (VDB) or Manufacturing Record Books (MRB) for formal issue to the customer. The customer requirements should be predefined and collation of data books will be to a previously agreed contents list (e.g. hose test certificates, material certificates, weld procedures, welder qualification, NDT reports, FAT reports, etc).
File, maintain and retrieve when requested, all final QA documentation in accordance with internal requirements, customer and industry guidelines.
Control and file the radiographs received from fittings supplier in an orderly manner
Provide administrative support to the QA Manager, Document Controller and QA Inspectors, where required, to ensure the smooth flow of work through this area.
Provide support to the Manager in achieving departmental targets with respect to Company objectives and targets, as appropriate.
Carry out the job requirements in full compliance with the Code of Conduct.
Support and demonstrate the ‘4 Values’ and associated ‘behaviours’ in carrying out your duties and responsibilities.
Responsible for leading A3 investigations using Structured Problem Solving methodology and sharing any lessons learnt.
Qualifications
Experience Required
Minimum 2 years experience in Document Control
Minimum 2 years experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to working with QA systems
Exposure to ISO 9001 or similar
Working successfully with cross functional teams at all levels of an organisation
Knowledge Required
Good knowledge of the Company products
Quality, Environmental and H&S Systems
Qualifications / Skills Required
Good, working knowledge of Word 2007
Good working knowledge of Excel 2007
Good working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and similar packages
Ability to work as part of a team and work efficiently to meet deadlines
Confident when dealing with external parties
Organised and methodical with a structured approach to task management
