Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location; 497 Electronics Pkwy, Liverpool, NY 13088
Duration: 1 year C2H
Pay Rate: $45.00
Shift Timing (Day/ Evening/ Night): 4/10-1st Shift
Job Description:
  • Applies quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products.
  • Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures.
  • Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place. Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action.
  • Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.
  • Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity. Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Engages in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience
  • Quality Engineering skills as related to electro-mechanical assembly operations including the ability to interpret engineering drawing/build instruction/process procedures and develop inspection processes and methodologies and determine product compliance.
  • Experience in performing Root Cause Analysis and identification of corrective actions using structured methods, such as DUO, Fault Tree Analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, DOE, etc.
  • Experience performing audits, and participating in third party/customer audits
  • Use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
  • DoD contract experience.
  • IPC 610/620 and J-STD-001 standard certification.
  • Experience interfacing with Government Customer Representatives.
  • AS9102 FAI experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • ISO/AS9100 knowledge.
  • Ability to interface with multiple stakeholders including Military Customers, effectively work in cross-functional teams, and communicate with positive impact.
