Quality Management Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Management Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the maintenance and development of our ISO management systems, as well as supporting our safety, health, and environmental policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating quality improvement programs and managing audits and compliance processes.
Responsibilities
- Always work in a safe manner and adhere to all safety guidelines. Take action to prevent injuries and report unsafe conditions to proper personnel.
- Maintain and develop current and future ISO management systems.
- Maintain and report on Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment (SHE) policies and procedures locally, as well as develop local policies and procedures.
- Complete internal quality system and compliance audits for all quality and environmental systems.
- Track and report weekly and monthly on non-conformances within the company, preparing reports for corrective actions.
- Facilitate the quality improvement program by organizing and training teams to recognize areas of improvement. Lead improvement efforts to increase customer satisfaction by enhancing the quality of products.
- Coordinate and complete customer audits and surveys related to quality management systems.
- Determine quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
- Complete value stream mapping, process control plans, FEMA, and other lean analysis tools.
- Provide required customer documentation such as certificates of compliance, test data, and order-specific verification testing.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.
- Responsible for safety and environmental data collection and internal reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in audit and quality engineering.
- experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality and environmental management systems.
- Strong background in quality assurance and quality management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing systems, industrial systems, or equivalent experience.
- Quality engineering experience can substitute for a degree or extensive experience in quality management.
