We are seeking highly motivated individuals currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering to join Sealed Air as a Mechanical Engineering Co-op – Summer 2026. This position is part of Sealed Air’s Co-op Program, which may include up to three sessions aligned with the university academic schedule.
As part of the global Research & Development (R&D) organization, this role plays a key part in supporting the development, testing, and improvement of food packaging equipment and systems, contributing to innovation in one of Sealed Air’s core business segments.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on engineering experience in a highly collaborative environment while working directly with experienced scientists, engineers, and Application experts. You will contribute to active projects and complete a formal presentation to leadership at the end of each session. Sealed Air’s co-op program is also used as a pipeline for identifying and hiring top talent for future full-time opportunities.
Minimum 2.5 GPA.
Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship.
Must be able to handle and be in direct contact with raw meat and protein products.
Able to provide own transportation to the co-op location.
Able to work 10+ hour days in 40F environments as needed.
Ability to travel up to 30%.
Preferred
Knowledge of general lab and machine shop practices.
Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude.
Familiarity with SolidWorks.
