Login to your McGill Workday account and apply to this posting using the Find Jobs report (type Find Jobs in the search bar).Position Summary:Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Records, Exams & Convocation, supports applicants, students, postdoctoral fellows, research trainees, and alumni by providing outstanding records services with respect to student records, exams, and convocation. Responsible for pro-active problem-solving, discretionary decision-making to resolve student records cases, providing exam scoring support and expertise, creating and maintaining forms (online or paper) used for records, exams and convocation, creating/updating all records, exams and convocation web communication, preparing procedural documentation, and delivering presentations.Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides student records, exams, and convocation services, in support of the University’s mission of academic excellence.
- Performs and/or organizes activities to support the daily operations of a faculty/department/unit by ensuring that student record, exams, and convocation functions are carried out in accordance with established goals and objectives.
- Designs and maintains all student and staff-facing (online or paper) forms for student records, exams, and convocation.
- Develops and maintains websites and channels (news and events), as well as social media, for student records, exams, and convocation, liaising with management and administrators to continue evolving these platforms to develop/update content, written, visual or other.
- Acts as expert to the Exam Office on exam scoring including providing support to upgrade the software on a regular basis and implementing new functionality. Supports exam scoring functions including troubleshooting complex queries and requests from instructors.
- Collaborates with the Associate Registrar or designate on the implementation, development, maintenance. and/or operation of software needed to support student records, convocation or exams, as needed.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Attributes:Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in resolving student record cases. Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Exceptional attention to detail and experience in maintaining records, preparing documentation, and troubleshooting exam-related issues. Proficiency in web content management, and form creation (both online and paper-based).
