Summary

Duties

  • Administers the coordination and implementation of The Records Management Program
  • Assists with Staff Assessment Visits with Primary Records Manager.
  • Conducts Army Records Management Trainer as an instructor.
  • Ensures permission are provided and removed with in-processing/out processing procedures.
  • Conducts briefings on findings when records review complete.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This position has a 10% occasional Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement.

  • Current Department of Army Civilian Employees Applying on Time-Limited Assignments

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

  • Management Tools
  • Organizational Awareness
  • Personnel Action Processing and Recordkeeping

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes the administration of the Records Management Program. Aids in training and instruction of the Records Management Program. Assists customers in maintaining records in accordance with Army compliance. Aids with Staff Visits to ensure all records are being maintained are in compliance. ( GS-09)

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
