WHAT IS PRIVACY, GOVERNMENT LIAISON & DISCLOSURE (PGLD) DIVISION?
PGLD is responsible for safeguarding and protecting sensitive taxpayer and employee information while promoting government transparency and accountability through better access to government information.

Vacancies will be filled in the following specialty areas:
Privacy, Governmental Liaison and Disclosure. Privacy, Governmental Liaison and Disclosure, Identity and Records Protection, Records Specialist Team.
The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.

Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-12
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience in interpreting and applying privacy, disclosure or records and information management laws, regulations and policies; experience in the creation of guidance and analysis studies to ensure the protection of specific records; and experience evaluating privacy, disclosure and records management issues and resolving in a manner compliant with appropriate laws, regulations and policies.
TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT:
By the closing date (or if this is an open continuous announcement, by the cut-off date) specified in this job announcement, current civilian employees must have completed at least 90 days of federal civilian service since their latest non-temporary appointment from a competitive referral certificate, known as time after competitive appointment. For this requirement, a competitive appointment is one where you applied to and were appointed from an announcement open to “All US Citizens”.

You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. Referral: You will be assigned to one of three quality groups. Each group represents a quality level (i.e., Superior/Best Qualified, Highly Qualified, Qualified). Candidates will be considered in quality group order. If you are among the top qualified candidates, your application may be referred to a selecting official for consideration. Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements and current employees must have at least a fully successful or equivalent performance rating to receive consideration.
You may be required to participate in a selection interview (telephonic and/or in person at the discretion of the Selecting Official in accordance with hiring polices). We will not reimburse costs related to the interview such as travel to and from the interview site.
If you are a displaced or surplus Federal employee (eligible for the Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP)/Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP), you must receive a score of Highly Qualified or better to be rated as well qualified to receive special selection priority.
Non-Competitive Hiring Authorities: If you are applying under a non-competitive or special hiring authority (e.g., Military Spouse), you will still be required to complete the online assessment, however the results will not be used to rate and rank your application. Your resume and supporting documentation will be used to determine if you are minimally qualified for this job.
