Duties

  • Builds and maintains a network of records liaisons within each office of the OS.
  • Identifies offices without records liaisons and works with management and supervisors to get them assigned.
  • Coordinates to provide records liaisons training on role specific duties and responsibilities based on laws, regulations, departmental and OS records policy and guidance.
  • Develops metrics and regularly updates the OS Records Officer on number of active records liaisons and their training status.
  • Provides analysis and recommendations on ways to improve records liaison management.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience:

Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-11 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is in or directly related to the line of work of this position and has equipped the applicant with the knowledge and competencies to successfully perform the duties of this position. More specifically, this requirement involves experience in: Providing guidance or assistance in record management activities to ensure the identification, retrieval, maintenance or disposition of records within an organization.

Only experience obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.

TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Telework Suitability:
