Summary You will serve as a RECORDS AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the OFFNAVINSGEN WASHINGTON DC. Responsibilities You will ensure enforcement of all applicable statutes, regulations, policies, instructions, and standards that govern the Records and Information Management (RIM) program. You will assist the Office of the Chief Data Officer in developing, executing, and evaluating cost effective technology solutions and knowledge management initiatives; to include records retention, management and access control policies. You will track, advise and provide assistance to senior leadership on significant records management actions. You will review contracts, agreements, and any other products for appropriate security and privacy language, where individually identifiable information may be maintained for compliance with RIM program requirements. You will conduct a records inventory or file plan review of all records annually to ensure they are being properly maintained. You will conduct training, briefings, and on-site assessment/assistance visits, to include virtual/online, classroom, conferences, and symposiums. You will attend training to stay abreast of changes and trends in records management practices and uses gained knowledge to improve the RIM program. You will develop, maintain, and implement policy and program guidance governing the implementation and management of records management programs and initiatives. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-11 – Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with analysis, policy development and subject matter expert (SME) advice on all matters relating to the management and oversight of the Naval Inspector General (NAVINSGEN) Records and Information Management (RIM) Program to include core missions, administrative records, and official mail. Experience performing program management oversight of records management initiatives. Experience performing strategic analysis, plans, outreach, training, and develops metrics to ensure that sound RIM information governance and accountability measures are in place. Experience with Government Purchase Cards (GPC). GS-12 – Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with analysis, policy development and subject matter expert (SME) advice on all matters relating to the management and oversight of the Naval Inspector General (NAVINSGEN) Records and Information Management (RIM) Program to include core missions, administrative records, and official mail.
