The Regional Legal Information Manager works with Legal and Business Unit staff in the Southern United States, Africa, and Europe to manage and maintain the Conservancy’s legal conservation database, which tracks the Conservancy’s land and water protection activity. Responsibilities include managing the internal conservation project approval process, performing real estate transaction data entry, and providing file and document management support in assigned geographic areas. They provide training and support to business unit staff, respond to questions, and resolve issues pertaining to land/water protection documentation and files. They can efficiently and effectively articulate basic legal concepts and internal policies and procedures to others. They will also generate periodic and ad hoc reports for internal and external purposes and prepare financial information for posting to the Conservancy’s general ledger.

This is a remote position that will be required to work within general business hours in the Eastern time zone. Occasionally you may be required to adjust working hours to accommodate Europe and Africa time zones. We’re looking for a motivated individual capable of maintaining the Conservancy’s Legal database of our global conservation activities and who has experience in reporting and analyzing data. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing mission of conservation by supporting the legal department and multiple business units with managing conservation data!
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years’ relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience maintaining a centralized relational database system.
Experience in designing, implementing, and directing multiple projects.
Experience with drafting and editing professional documents.
Working knowledge of legal real estate practice.
Experience using MS office software, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Experience creating reports and manipulating, analyzing and/or interpreting financial and other data.
