Duration:  4+ months
Work Hours: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM; Lunch Period:12:00 PM to 1:00 PM (unpaid)
Dress Code: Business casual, except on Fridays
Job Description:

• ICD and CPT.
• Registered Health Information Technician Certification.
• Associates Degree.
• Medical coding experience.

Mandatory skills/certification(s) requirement:

• Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician by AHIMA.
• Associate’s degree in health information management

Desired skills:

• Able to code diagnosis and services rendered from paper charts using ICD and CPT nomenclature.
• Knowledge of Health Information Management

Duties???:

• Code diagnosis and services using ICD and CPT nomenclature and classification.
• Handle or process request for medical record information.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Code diagnosis and services from the chart using ICD and CPT nomenclature and classification.
• Quantitative analysis of discharged chart for completeness.
• Copy records to respond to request for patient’s Health information with required proof.
• Assemble large amount of documents in a specific order, keep information confidential.
• Must be able to answer questions clearly and respond to phone calls.
• Must be able to write responses to question in reports and in email.
