Job Summary
The Adult Infusion center at Parnassus services the malignant and nonmalignant hematology population at UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center as well as any non-oncology infusion needs of patients at UCSF. The treatments include but are not limited to chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, blood transfusions, hydration and electrolyte therapy, injections and blood draws, enzymes and iron infusions, and antibiotics. The center consists of 30+ chairs/beds and treatments include research and standard of care infusions. The Parnassus Infusion center also supports the Apheresis cell collection needs and photopheresis needs for the adult HBC program. The infusion centers are staffed by Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Medical Assistants, and Practice Coordinators.
The Outpatient Infusion Clinical Nurse II delivers direct patient care to an assigned adult infusion outpatient population. This nurse is experienced and highly skilled with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the cancer and non cancer disease process, the major treatment modalities, symptom management, supportive care, and patient education. The nurse utilizes an interdisciplinary approach across the continuum of care with adherence to National Patient Safety Goals set forth by regulatory requirements. The nurse is recognized and utilized as a clinical resource and demonstrates investment in the overall forward movement of the unit and the organization. The Parnassus Infusion Center is open seven (7) days a week and most holidays. On-call shifts may be required in addition to work schedule.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $93.47 – $121.11 (Hourly FT Rate).
