Under general supervision, the Research Technologist Isupportsthedailyoperations ofinstitutionalcore services,with a focus on theFlow Cytometry Core and Pediatric Pathology. Core duties includemaintainingsterile lab environments and equipment, preparing critical reagents and buffers,assisting withlightexperimental proceduresas needed,and ensuring safe practices.Under general supervision provide support for department research through projects, maintenance, and communication of data. This position will be split between MFRC 5 and Pediatric Pathology on a day-to-day basis.
PrimaryResponsibilities for Pediatric Pathology work:
Knowledge of biology, chemistry, mathematics, documentation, and records management.
Data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills.
Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.
Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Required Experience: No experience required
Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
