FAO Armenia assists the Government to formulate policies, programmes and projects to address the root causes of food insecurity and malnutrition, develop the agricultural and forestry sectors, and utilize environmental and natural resources in a sustainable way. It contributes to the development of FAO’s field programme projects in the country and implements them in the sectors of food security, agriculture, natural resources management and rural development.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Contribute to cultivating and maintaining good donor relations, including through contributing timely responses to donor queries, developing ideas to increase fundraising, proactive formulation of donor briefing materials and facilitating donor missions in Armenia.
- Map donor strategies, funding windows and related opportunities against FAO Armenia funding needs.
- Develop country strategy documents, programme/ project proposals, briefs and other documents related to programmatic areas in close cooperation with relevant personnel
- Contribute to the formulation of strategic information products on the FAO Armenia Programme for external and internal use, including corporate briefing and reporting requirements.
- Prepare briefing materials to showcase programme results, in close collaboration with FAO Armenia teams.
- Coordinate the formulation of concept notes and proposals.
- Contribute to strategic information products, including Situation Reports.
- Initiate and facilitate the drafting of project/programme reports using the appropriate donor-specified or corporate templates.
- Work closely with technical sectors, and other colleagues to ensure reports satisfy reporting requirements and capture the required content accurately (e.g. including strategic alignment, deviation from planned activities, challenges, delays, etc.).
- Support the same colleagues to enrich reports with greater emphasis on results, lessons, best practices, pLiaise closely with the Communication Specialist and project/programme staff to produce and incorporate human impact stories, project photos and other visibility materials within reports. artnership and key cross-cutting themes (e.g. gender, environmental sustainability).
- Conduct final quality review, troubleshooting and editing of all project reports and related materials prior to submission, ensuring reports are clear, concise and in-line with corporate standards, including FAO House Style.
Minimum Requirements
- University degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Economics, Business Administration, Communication, Social Sciences, or another closely related field.
- Minimum five years of relevant experience in resource mobilization, donor relations, proposal writing, strategic communication, or related fields within international organizations, NGOs, or similar contexts.
- Full proficiency (Level C) in English.
