Risk Consulting Associate Director / Senior Manager – Digital Fraud SME

We are searching for an Associate Director or Senior Manager to join our Risk practice as a Fraud Subject Matter Expert.

As digital modes enable increasingly sophisticated fraud and scams our government and finance clients look to us to bring them into a position whereby they are ready to respond to attacks using the power of advanced technology and build a fraud ecosystem that can combat the fraudsters. You will be required to play a central role in helping our clients achieve this.

Accenture Risk & Compliance Services help our clients focus on three key challenges – managing risk and regulations, increasing profitability and reducing complexity. We work across all industries, however this role will be focused on our government and banking clients. These clients look to our Risk & Compliance experts to recommend the best solutions, based on their unique insights and industry expertise across Digital Fraud, Regulatory and Compliance, Fraud & Financial Crime, Operational Risk, Risk Analytics and Financial Risk functions.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a project team in risk & compliance projects, including risk and compliance operating models, change management, process re-engineering, regulatory compliance, internal controls review, policies and procedures, monitoring, corporate governance and reporting
  • Work with client’s business units, including Fraud & Scams Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, IT, Internal, Legal, Strategic Planning, Risk Analytics, Front Office, Middle Office and Back Office to gain thorough understanding of the corporate risk processes and procedures development
  • Identify, define and document complex business specifications for risk platforms and procedures
  • Lead the development of new intellectual capital for Accenture’s Risk & Compliance service line, conduct leading edge research on white papers, support development of marketing collateral, and assist in publishing articles in industry periodicals.
  • Develop and implement digital fraud prevention strategies
  • Investigate and analyse digital fraud incidents
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance fraud detection systems
  • Provide training and guidance to clients and peers on digital fraud prevention best practices.

To be successful you will have:

  • Minimum 15 years of work experience within a Management Consulting firm
  • Enterprise architecture experience
  • Experience working within the Government and/or Banking Sector
  • Experience working in advisory services to Financial Services and/or Government clients, or experience working in those industries (Banking, Insurance or Capital Markets) on fraud risk management activities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience in digital fraud prevention and detection
  • Ability to adapt to evolving fraud tactics and technologies
  • Strong expertise and understanding in areas below:
  • Fraud and scams risk management
  • Fraud analytics
  • Financial crime risk management
  • Fraud and financial crime industry standards and regulation
  • Expertise and understanding in the areas below
  • Operational Risk Management
  • Regulatory Change Management
  • Remediation
  • Risk analytics – technology risk
  • Credit Risk
  • Proven experience working in areas such as model development, validation, change management, project management or compliance
  • Strong track record of risk and/or compliance process design and re-engineering
  • Understanding of Australian regulatory requirements such as AS8001-2021, AML/CTF Act, AML/CTF Rules
  • Understanding of international regulatory requirements such as UK PSR, HKMA, MAS, FinCEN, SFC, and Reserve Bank of New Zealand rules, Basel II/III, FRTB, MiFID, BCB 239 etc would be highly desirable
  • People management skills, with proven experience leading teams
  • Successful track record, offering impeccable service delivery
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, ideally using MS suite – particularly PowerPoint
  • Professional Certifications Preferred: CFE, ACAMS, FRM, CFA
