RWJBH is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Post Coronary Care Unit at the New Brunswick campus,

This is a night position 36 hours/week,

Please note the hours of this position are 7:00 pm – 7:30 am with every other weekend and every other holiday required,

Responsibilities:

– Assess and monitor patients’ cardiovascular conditions, including vital signs and telemetry data interpretation,

– Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and ensure patient safety by monitoring for potential side effects,

– Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients,

– Educate patients and their families about their conditions, medications, and necessary lifestyle modifications,

– Document all patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record,

– Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times,

– Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and overall care quality,

Qualifications:

– Current active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in New Jersey,

– American Heart Association Basic Life Support BLS for Healthcare Providers required

-Advanced Cardiac Life support ACLS for healthcare providers required,

-Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN required,

– 1 year of experience working in a telemetry acute care setting preferred,

– Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills,

– Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members,
