Summary of Job Duties:Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care as an RN. This professional nursing role will require the ability to coordinate care for patients, triage patients, and work collaboratively with clinic providers, fellows, and staff. Requires the ability to effectively work with patient referral sources, facilitate appointments, coordinate transitions of care, and provide patient education on complex conditions. The RN will work with the individual patient, their families, and providers of care to develop and implement individual health plans.

Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, or Diploma RN, with Major: Registered Nurse.

Coordinates and participates in the surgical recovery of bone tissue for transplantation or research, ensuring strict adherence to aseptic technique and regulatory standards.

Conducts thorough donor medical history reviews and physical assessments to evaluate eligibility for bone procurement in compliance with FDA, AATB, and institutional guidelines.

Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, pathologists, and transplant coordinators to ensure timely and safe procurement processes.

Maintains accurate and detailed documentation of all procurement procedures, including donor identification, consent verification, and chain of custody.

Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and transport of recovered bone tissues to maintain tissue integrity and traceability.

Monitors and manages inventory of procurement supplies and equipment, ensuring readiness for recovery procedures and adherence to sterile processing protocols.

Provides education and support to families and hospital staff regarding the donation process, ensuring compassionate communication during sensitive situations.

Participates in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities, including audits, reporting deviations, and attending training to stay current with industry best practices.
