The Ambulatory Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the practice of nursing. Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.

Qualifications

Work experience:

Responsibilities
Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area of practice. Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups.Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other staff and healthcare students.Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes.Assists Nursing Supervisor/coordinator in the development of departmental standing orders.Telephone triage for any patient or parent who calls in. Triage of patients could be a young as birth thru the lifespan. Patient Notification of test results for any testing patient has completed. Patient ages from birth thru the lifespan Medication refills for any medications. May be related to Hypertension, Diabetes, COPD or any diagnosis that may affect an infant to and adult thru their lifespan Nurse visits for injections, BP checks- age ranges from birth thru the lifespan Patient triage in office for any patient or parent who walks in. Triage of patients could be a young as birth thru the lifespan. Facilitate communication between Family Practice, Adult Medicine, or Pediatric provider and patient

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $30.39per hour – $52.27per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
