We are the only transplant hospital for the Scripps system, transplanting liver, kidney and pancreas. Our 24-bed mixed ICU poses a great challenge to make sure you keep yourself updated on best practices and different patient populations. We are a teaching facility with in-house Intensive Care Pulmonologist that manage our patients closely with nursing collaboration. Join our team of Registered Nurses (RN) at Scripps Green Hospital ICU, where you will be amongst a team that is dedicated to creating an environment that is focused on restoring function and optimizing care, while maintaining the respect, autonomy and individuality of every patient.

Responsibilities include:

– Providing direct patient care within the scope of your practice.

– Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients’ progress towards expected outcomes.

– With quality patient and family-centered care in mind, the RN takes primary responsibility for the patients’ care as delivered by the Care Team under their supervision.

– Work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original department/specialty
• Must remain in original Job Title
• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Required Qualifications:

• Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing
• One year of recent RN experience in an adult ICU
• California Registered Nurse License
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certification
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
• Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
