This is a full time, benefited position generally working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm but will vary as needed. Located at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines in La Jolla. This is an exempt and salaried position eligible for the Management Incentive Compensation Plan (MICP) at the Supervisor level.

What you’ll do:
- Support Torrey Pines/Scripps Cancer Center-Division of Urology.
- Manages daily staffing for assigned clinic operations.
- Ensures nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety.
- Under the general direction of the Manager/Director, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing staff, including managing daily staffing plans.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining schedules for optimal efficiency.
- Works in partnership with Management and Physicians to ensure quality and efficiency in the management of patient care.
- Management and development of clinical/clerical staff. Contributes to operations management of assigned business unit(s).
- Participates in budget planning and management.
- Takes proactive initiative in quality management.
- Supports team on floor, this position is considered a “working supervisor”.
Required education/experience/Specialized Skills:
- Associates degree plus two years applicable clinical experience.
- Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
- Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited program.
Required Certification/Registration:
- Maintains current California RN license.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required in clinical setting and all competencies/certifications required for the highest level RN under their direction.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- BSN and/or certification in area of specialty preferred if applicable.
- Leadership experience.
