Title: Heavy Duty Vehicle Mechanic – Road Service
Location: Kenworth Montreal (7500 Trans-Canada Highway, Saint-Laurent, QC H4T 1A5)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Salary: $37.36 – $47.29 per hour, depending on experience + bonusesBenefits:

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Perform all diagnostic and repair work on vehicles, either at the client’s site or at the dealership;
• Plan the schedule and route for client visits within the region;
• Open repair orders including information related to the vehicle to be repaired;
• Identify parts on repair orders;
• Obtain client authorization for the work order indicating billable time or cost estimate for planned rates;
• Promote seasonal flat-rate promotions, mileage-based maintenance with flat rates, manufacturer-recommended maintenance, or any other advantageous opportunities for the client;
• Conduct daily visual inspection rounds;
• Make courtesy visits to potential clients to explain the range of services to the fleet manager or repair shop supervisor.

Qualifications:

• DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in heavy vehicle mechanics or a related field;
• 8 years or more of experience with heavy vehicles

• French and English

• English proficiency level: basic reading and writing;
• Frequency: daily
• Reason: to follow the repair processes of American manufacturers

• Valid class 5 driver’s license (class 1 license is an asset).
