position Summary

Prepare the press for the order set up by the operator and convert plain material into printed material.

Pay rate: $19.25

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Pre-stage all inks, materials at the press prior to the changeover.
  • Change inks per production order.
  • Change blades and seals; correct build-up and break down of doctor blade chambers.
  • Load and unload material on and off the press using material handling devices.
  • Band all outgoing materials and transport to the warehouse using a material moving vehicle (prime mover or pallet jack).
  • Monitor print quality and additional attributes in conjunction with the Operator or during Operator breaks.
Tool, Equipment and Material Requirements:
  • Use of site approved tools only, loupe, dyne pen, hoist.
  • Operation of motorized material handling devices.
  • Responsible for equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks.
Safety Requirements:
  • Wear all required PPE & PFS: beard/hair net, hearing protection, safety glasses, bump cap, and safety shoes.
  • Perform all duties using safe work methods.
  • Complies with all established site and department safety rules and policies.
  • Report unsafe conditions, all accidents and near misses immediately to supervisor or his/her designate.
Other Requirements
  • Requires basic reading, writing and math skills.
  • Ability to pass a hue and color vision assessment.
  • Able to follow instructions and make decisions based on data obtained.
