THE JOB:

It is the primary responsibility of the Safety Manager for planning, establishing and maintaining all required health, safety and environmental programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety for employees.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Oversee the execution and management of regulatory and safety compliance training programs, assess training effectiveness, monitor compliance, review necessary testing and maintenance of all fire safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, and ensure that all employees receive the required safety training
• Review appropriate testing and maintenance of all fire safety equipment including fire extinguishers
• Serve as liaison to Center of Excellence, regulatory agencies and other third parties relative to safety programs
• Administers property observations to identify property occupational safety and health hazards, ensures property compliance of all safety violations, and work closely with OSHA and Fire Department on safety inspections of the property
• Enforces all policies, fire and safety related codes, and applicable State, County, Federal laws and regulations

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Knowledge of OSHA and other Safety regulatory requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and training abilities
• Strong organizational skills with experience in scheduling and facilitating training, as well as maintaining comprehensive records and documentation
